Technical visits

The Life Below Water conference offers a range of interesting technical visits, all on the theme of the sea and linked to global goal 14, but also offers an overall picture of our work with Agenda 2030 – Global Goals for Sustainable Development.

The technical visits are linked to the themes that form the very core of the conference. These themes include: Coastal Zone Management and Sea Level Rising, Ocean Literacy and Education, Plastic Pollution in the Oceans, Sustainable Marine Food, Leadership for improved ocean management and Sustainable vessels and ports of the future.

You register for your choice of technical visit at our registration counter in Malmö.

The visits include:

  • a boat trip outside Malmö in the Øresund strait
  • a tasting of sustainable and nutritious food from the sea (locally produced and prepared)
  • an overview of how Malmö is investing in the education of future generations as linked to ocean literacy and leadership for sustainability
  • thoughts about plastic pollution and solutions to the problem.
  • Copenhagen-Malmö port is another destination that will show and discuss the impacts of shipping on marine life and how future shipping can develop in an environmentally sustainable way.
