About Kul i Malmö

Kul i Malmö is a platform where free activities for children and young people in Malmö are gathered in one place. The activities are organised and run by Malmö City, local associations in Malmö, and partners working with the city. We offer activities all year round, with extra activities during school holidays.

Whether you are interested in sports, culture, outdoor life, or something completely different, we believe you can find an activity that suits you in Kul i Malmö. Play football, try skateboarding, or learn how to fish! Or why not stand on a theatre stage, write music, or do arts and crafts?* Try something completely new or improve a skill you already have – and make new friends at the same time!

*The activities offered may vary from year to year. The examples in the text are based on previous Kul i Malmö activities.

Who can join Kul i Malmö activities?

Kul i Malmö activities are for children and young people who live in Malmö and are between 6 and 25 years old. Some activities also welcome children under 6, and some are open to all ages. Please visit each activity page to see what applies.

All Kul i Malmö activities are free of charge. You do not need to be a member of any association or club to join. Some activities may require registration in advance, but most activities are drop-in. In most cases, no previous experience is needed, and the activities are usually adapted so beginners can take part.

Accessibility

Kul i Malmö is for all children and young people. This means everyone should have the opportunity to find activities that suit them and their needs. When you click on an activity, you will see a checklist that describes the accessibility at the location.

The checklist is completed by the activity organiser. It helps you decide whether the activity meets your needs, for example if you have a physical disability, hearing impairment, or visual impairment. You can always contact the activity’s contact person if you need more information.

If you have a visual impairment, a physical disability and/or an intellectual disability and are between 6 and 25 years old, we can match you with a Parasport guide who is able to accompany you at the activity that you want to go to. The Parasport guide has a disability themselves and is always over 18 years old.

Where do Kul i Malmö activities take place?

Kul i Malmö activities take place in different areas across Malmö, so that as many people as possible can join activities they are interested in. During school holidays, we offer extra activities and are therefore present in even more locations around the city.
