10. Climate Cube

Accelerating climate change is a most urgent challenge for cities today. It is on the local level the Paris agreement will be implemented. The session will report on how emissions of GHG are reduced from buildings, traffic and services. The mapping of renewable energy resources on the local level proves a series of possibilities for cities to provide for themselves.

Connected to goal 7, 11 and 13.

An important component will be how international cooperation within the EU project Climate KIC and Baltic Sea region-wide projects promoted by Council of Baltic Sea States (CBSS), Union of Baltic Cities (UBC) and Baltic University Programme (BUP) will support local authorities.
