Malmö is situated in the south western part of the country and is the third largest city in Sweden, according to population numbers. Malmö is a port city and capital of Skåne (Scania) County and is close to Copenhagen, Denmark with just the Öresundbridge in-between.
VENUE
Ocean Literacy 2022 will take place at Studio, a venue located just a short walk from Malmö Central Station.
HOTELS AND HOSTELS
Central Malmö offers a variety of hotels and hostels within walking distance from the conference venue.
BY PLANE
Arrival at Copenhagen International Airport (CPH), whereafter 20 minutes by train to Malmö Central Station.
BY TRAIN
Destination is Malmö Central Station. National train, operated by SJ, and tickets can be purchased from SJ. Local trains, including trains to and from Copenhagen International Airport, are operated by Skånetrafiken where tickets also can be purchased.
BUS
Local buses are operated by Skånetrafiken.
Please note that it is not possible for the City of Malmö to contribute to any travel expenses.
DINNER
On May 9th, participants are invited to an informal dinner at the World Maritime University, located just a couple of hundred meters from the venue Studio.
COVID-19
Due to the ongoing pandemic there are a few things to keep in mind. The conference is scheduled to take place at location as planned, however we do offer the possibility to attend remotely. Should the situation regarding covid-19 change for the worse, the conference will be held as a digital event. Make sure to check your inbox for updates. The City of Malmö follows the guidelines provided by the The Public Health Agency of Sweden. We also advice international participants to stay updated regarding potential restrictions in place when travelling to and from Sweden.
