Malmö is the city in Sweden that invests the most in solar energy. The beautiful Sege Park creates a sustainable district with innovative solutions for renewable energy.

Previously, this was a mental hospital. Now the historic surroundings of Sege Park have been transformed into a sustainable city district with climate-friendly energy solutions and its own plantations. It includes one of the nation's largest solar cell facilities and Europe's first solar-powered Stirling engine. Energy solutions are a few examples of how Malmö City is working to reduce its impacts on the climate.

In Sege Park, Malmö City cooperates with the Foundation Ekocentrum Syd, which offers guided tours with different themes. These can also be combined with a tour of Ekocentrum Syd´s exhibition about inspiring examples of sustainable solutions in everything from food and waste, to the latest in solar power and smart buildings.
