Listening Session: Inside the Music-Making Process
An evening for producers, songwriters, musicians, singers, rappers and music enthusiasts. The evening is open to everyone, whether you are a beginner, at a more advanced level or simply curious.
On August 20, producer Melisa Hümmet will host a listening session where four local music creators, including Melisa herself, will open up their projects to share and talk about their creative processes.
Participants will get to see everything from how the initial idea came about to how the different sounds were selected. What makes this listening session unique is that participants not only get to listen to the music, but also get to see how it is created, for example, how the music creators work in their DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations). There will also be an opportunity to ask questions.
Melisa Hümmet is an artist, producer and songwriter from Malmö. Her sound moves between pop, rap and R&B. Alongside her own artistry, Melisa has also produced music for other artists and projects. Most recently, she contributed music to a short film that was selected for Pixel Skånes Kortfilmsfestival 2026.
The goal of the evening is to create an open and inspiring environment for participants to share experiences, learn from each other and gain new perspectives on music-making. The evening will feature a mix of different musical expressions, genres and creative processes. Welcome!
