What do Eurovision artists think of Malmö? We asked them!

Several of the Eurovision artists have now been in Malmö for over a week, exploring the city between rehearsals, interviews and parties. So what do they think of Malmö? We asked them.

Windows95Man (Finland)

Teemu Keisteri is the man behind the Windows95Man costume, a well-known Finnish multidisciplinary artist with experimental musical and visual expressions.

We are from the host city Malmö. What do you think of Malmö?

- I love Malmö! I have performed here maybe three, four times before. Now I've been here for a week and have finally seen the city and eaten good falafel. And yes, a fantastic first week of holiday – and now I'm going to work.

iolanda (Portugal)

Portuguese singer-songwriter Iolanda Cura's music is pop and R&B, without ever compromising her traditional Portuguese and Iberian roots. She is a promising singer and songwriter who released her debut EP "Cura" in March 2023. On Saturday she performed her song Grito.

Thank you for such a great show in the Eurovision Village! What was it like to perform in the Eurovision Village?

– Oh, it was really cool. It was the first time I sang in such an open place with so many people, so I was really happy. So yeah, I hope we can do it again – next year, that would be cool.

Baby Lasagna (Croatia)

Marko Purišić is a singer-songwriter in the constellation Baby Lasagna from Croatia. Baby Lasagna's ambition is to entertain while drawing the audience's attention to the social, spiritual and environmental challenges of our time.

What do you think of Malmö?

– I love it because it has a small-town feel, while being a big, big city.

Have you tried falafel?

– Yes, I have, of course. And I love it. I've been eating it for three days now, so yes, I should stop.

Besa (Albania)

Besa Kokëdhima has come to Malmö from Albania. Her music is a mix of different genres from pop to electronic music, R&B to ballads, and everything in between. She has a strong, passionate fan base who appreciate her both for her music and for her activism in animal rights, social issues and equality.

What do you think of the city?

– The first few days I thought it was too quiet. But then I realised how much I needed this panoramic city and the silence that gives us peace and quiet. It's wonderful, really. And people are very, very nice and friendly. So it's fantastic. You can leave things everywhere, you don't have to carry your bags anywhere. It's a bit new for us, haha.
