Safety during Eurovision
In Malmö, we are constantly working to increase security, not only during Eurovision. It is a top priority that Malmö's residents and visitors feel safe and secure. The City of Malmö, Swedish public service television, the police and all those involved in the project are working closely together to make Eurovision in Malmö a safe and secure event.
We will work with well-balanced security measures throughout the city, with a strong focus on the central locations for Eurovision – Malmö Arena, Malmö Live, Folkets park and its surrounding area. The work will be based on the police's threat assessment and the measures will be both visible and invisible. Throughout the city and especially in the hotspots where we have events, the police will work with a high presence.
We create safety together. In addition to the measures taken by the authorities and organizers – we need to work together. We should look out for each other and help each other. It is therefore especially important that everyone follows the recommendations of the City of Malmö and other authorities before all events.
