On 13 September, elections will be held for the parliament, municipalities and regions

Advance voting opens on 26 August and runs until election day on 13 September. This year, your poll card will be sent to your digital mailbox. If you do not have a digital mailbox, you will receive a paper copy by post. Please remember to bring identification when you vote.

All advance voting locations will be published shortly.

Who can vote?

To vote in Swedish elections, you must be at least 18 years old and registered in the Swedish Population Register, or have previously been registered in Sweden. Being registered in the Population Register means that you are officially registered as a resident of Sweden.

How to vote

If you are eligible to vote, you will receive a voting card. This year, the voting card will be sent to your digital mailbox, if you have one. If you do not have a digital mailbox, you will receive your voting card by post in paper form. When you vote, you must be able to make your choice in peace and privacy. You decide for yourself what you vote for. No one is allowed to try to decide for you.
