Summer Art of 2024 offers several exciting exhibitions at Moderna Museet Malmö, Malmö Konstmuseum and Malmö Konsthall. The international group exhibition “Unhealed” delves into the aftermath of the uprisings and revolutions, that swept through the Arab world starting in 2010. These events altered the lives of millions of people, many of whom as a consequence now live in Sweden.

Borderland
The exhibition Borderland takes as its starting point Malmö Konstmuseum’s and Ystads konstmuseum’s comprehensive collections of Scanian landscape paintings from the period 1850–1950. Here, a large number of artists that depict the areas around Scania are presented in dialogue with contemporary works.

Monica Sjöö: The Great Cosmic Mother
Throughout her practice, the artist, activist, writer and eco-feminist Monica Sjöö fought an uncompromising battle for freedom from all forms of oppression. The exhibition “Monica Sjöö: The Great Cosmic Mother” is the first retrospective of Sjöö’s extensive corpus, where art, politics and spirituality are inseparable.
