i wish i had a river
Welcome to a performance that carries a space for laughter and grief, time to pause and contemplate, where two bodies explore the element of water and its connotations.
Through dancing, playing, grieving, listening and laughing, i wish i had a river communicates a desire for a stop. Longing for a pause in time, for it to stop slipping through our fingers, we invest in waiting. Tracing the pathways of water, we lean to its body - wishing to be part of it. Struggling on the threshold between the will to contain more, and the inability to soak more.
About the artists
Ohad and Sheryl are emerging interdisciplinary performance artists, currently towards the end of their studies at the ArtEZ Dance Artist program in the Netherlands.
During October, they are undertaking a residency at Skånes Dansteater in Malmö, and dive into their duet creation, i wish i had a river. Join us at Work in Progress to experience their performance!
