Setting the Tone of the Exhibition – The Anatomy of Exhibition Openings
Setting the tone is an expression from the world of music. It indicates that one is starting or opening a piece of music. We recognize how the first lines of a book can draw us in, or how the opening notes of a song can evoke emotions. But how can the same effect be created in an exhibition?
The exhibition ''Setting the Tone of the Exhibition – The Anatomy of Exhibition Openings '' explores how an exhibition is given its form, theme, and format.
“Setting the Tone of the Exhibition - The Anatomy of Exhibition Openings” consists of five possible openings for five possible exhibitions organised in five different opening spaces with five different atmospheres, possibility of embodiment, theme, and different physical framework.
The exhibition is a collaboration between Malmö Konstmuseum, Lilith Performance Studio and Jacob Fabricius.
