Guided Tours in English

This summer, we welcome you to join guided tours in English of both our permanent and temporary exhibitions at Malmö Art Museum. Learn more about the artworks in our extensive collection and discover the stories behind the pieces.

Malmö Art Museum holds one of Sweden’s largest art collections, with around 40,000 objects. This unique collection, owned by the City of Malmö and its residents, is showcased in the exhibition The Collection. Here, visitors can explore a cross-section of Nordic art history, spanning from the 1500s to the 2000s.

But The Collection is more than just a chronological display—it challenges the idea of a single art history. Instead, it highlights the many stories, nuances, and perspectives that have shaped, and sometimes been left out of, traditional narratives.

In addition to the permanent collection, our current temporary exhibitions include:

• Outi Pieski – Eatnamastit: A powerful exploration of Sámi identity, spirituality, and the deep connection to land through large-scale installations and textile-based art.
• The One Hundred Year Old: A thought-provoking exhibition reflecting on age, memory, and the passage of time from contemporary perspectives.
