Saturday May 4, the Eurovision week starts in Malmö. At 15:00 CET, the Eurovision Village will be opened with Malena Ernman and Malmö Magical Gospelgroup on stage. This will be followed by a varied program of country music, sing-alongs, Herreys and Norwegian Raylee.
This week's program opens on the Euphoria Stage in Eurovision Village with one of the great Swedish opera stars of our time, Malena Ernman together with Malmö Magical Gospelgroup. There will also be opening speeches and our presenters for the weekend, Albin Ganovic and Lydia Capolicchio, will tell you more about what the week will offer. But the park will be open from 11:00 and from 14:00 there will be art workshops and opportunities to learn circus tricks.
After the opening ceremony, the Euphoria Stage invites you to a lively sing-along of well-chosen winning Eurovision songs of all time. So, all you mello and Eurovision lovers – come and sing. On Tattoo Stage, we will experience Flatlands transforming the stage into a country party on the opening day. If you're in the mood for some cutting-edge hip-hop, don't miss Boris Jelic's fusion of rhythm and poetry. During the evening, 80s Eurovision icons Herreys and Norwegian favorite Raylee will visit the park.
Music around the city
The opening weekend will also feature music around the city. At Malmö C and Dag Hammarskjöld Square, don't miss Le Pianoteur from the French company Théâtre de la Toupine with an electric bicycle, a piano and a brilliant one-man orchestra. And take the chance to experience Ukrainian Eurovision icon, drag artist and comedian Verka Serduchka. In addition, the Bunny Brass Band will perform music from the streets and clubs of New Orleans.
At Amiralen in Eurovision Village, the Euro Fan Café powered by EuroGlam will also be presenting a great program throughout the week.
We create safety together
There will be a lot of people. We create safety together. Beyond the safety measures implemented by the responsible authorities and organizers, we need to work together. We will look after each other and help each other. Therefore, it is particularly important that everyone follows the recommendations of the City of Malmö and other authorities prior to the events.
