About Eurovison 2024 in Malmö
The Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö is set to become a true celebration! Visitors and residents of Malmö will get to experience the same fantastic feeling as the last time Eurovision was held in Malmö, but in an entirely new way from the 4th to the 11th of May 2024.
Background
It's about Europe's largest shared TV experience and one of the world's biggest televised music programs that unites countries and people through music. But it's also an event that attracts people from around the world who want to experience the music live.
A large number of stakeholders and many residents of Malmö will be involved in creating an unforgettable experience over eight full days. The Eurovision Song Contest coming back to our city again provides job opportunities and tourist revenues back to the people of Malmö.
Malmö is a strong event city with great experience. Together with the tourism industry, we can offer a modern and sustainable infrastructure and the ability to organize a true people's party. Since 2013, when Malmö last hosted Eurovision, the tourism industry has grown, the number of hotels has increased, and cultural life is flourishing.
Major events are an effective way to market Malmö and strengthen the city's international relations. Delegations from around 40 countries and approximately 1,000 accredited journalists are expected to come.
The ambition of the city of Malmö is that the event should be sustainable and inclusive and present the best of the city in terms of music, food, and encounters between people.
