Multilingualism
Over 10,000 children take part in the municipality's native language teachings in approximatly forty different languages.
Each year, at least 200 children move to Malmo from countries around the world. More than 50 percent of Malmö's children were born abroad, or have two parents who are born abroad. There are interesting projects in Malmö's schools and preschools which are characterized by Malmö's multicultural mix of inhabitants.
The municipality also runs a school for immigrant children, who have arrived in Sweden without their guardians.
Technical visits are arranged in accordance with the requests of participants. The set-up of a technical visit is determined by the type of operations that the group would like to visit and what areas they want to know more about.
