"Malmö has the ingredients, now it all has to come together"

- We make games for an international market, for boys and girls of all ages. It is extremely important that our employees represent the audience we want to reach and that is why we have built a team with over 50 nationalities. This means that we often find a good tone in our products. For us, there is a direct link between business strategy, diversity, and success.

- The idea that we are all so different is primitive. It should have disappeared a long time ago. My experience is that people all over the world are similar and that it’s really easy to understand each other. We have the same goals, desires, and needs. Personally, I have stopped thinking about origin, religion, or background. It’s irrelevant.

- We have had the idea of the value of diversity formulated more clearly than many others and we have worked on the basis of that idea for a long time. An international market requires an international team. We want to work with the world's best people and it would be insane to think that they only exist in Skåne or Malmö. The world's best lighting effects specialists or sound effect experts can of course come from anywhere. By looking at competence instead of origin, we have succeeded in raising the quality and we have also been rewarded for that.

- Our biggest challenge is to continue to deliver high quality products and continue to be competitive. And it's tough. It’s as if MFF would win the Champions League every year. That we can maintain diversity and enrich ourselves even more where needed, for example by bringing in more women, is directly linked to how successful we become.

- Malmö has a lot of advantages that we have benefited from. The city is good at welcoming people from all over the world, no matter what’s written in newspapers. There is an international quality in the core of Malmö that makes our employees feel at home. Here, there are elements of a big city’s appeal in the form of opera, theater, football and lots of other things. And at the same time, Malmö has the cosiness of a small town. You can easily get around the whole city by bike. We have the best of both worlds.

- We have been present in the discussion about Malmö's diversity and future. When we had to move our office, we felt that we would rather be in an area that is considered “problematic”. That way we could be part of the solution instead of alienating ourselves. So we chose Möllevången. We cannot talk about diversity without really encountering diversity.

- I hope that Massive's history, a kind of successful internationalism that has led to great successes, can also become Malmö's history. Malmö has a population base that is similar to our workforce. If you make it work, the city can become a world leader. Malmö has the ingredients, now it all has to come together.
