The Malmö model för Objective 5
The City of Malmö received a specific mandate to manage the Objective 5 of the Regional Structural Funds Programme. As a result of this, the Malmö model was developed.
The Malmo model represents Malmö with an intersectional approach and indicates direction on the basis of the city's challenges for projects within Objective 5, urban development in the new EU cohesion policy 2014-2020. The model was developed on behalf of the City of Malmö's management and general management group.
The Malmo model consists of four areas:
- Geographically prioritized areas. Stationary areas: Östervärn, Rosengård, Persborg. Development areas: Lindängen.
- Focal areas – employment - residential development - infrastructure
- Challenges - segregation and social exclusion - benefit of public housing - sustainable restorations of homes and areas
- Fund Coordination
