Open Call: Join the dialogue group Through Our Dialogue
Malmö Art Museum, in collaboration with Art Workers with Disabilities (Denmark) and Whose Museum (Sweden), invites you to take part in the collective research project Through Our Dialogue (TOD).
This project focuses on access and inclusion in public art institutions – created together with young artists and art workers who live with mental and/or physical disabilities.
About the project
The dialogue group will meet regularly for one year (August 2025 – June 2026). Together, participants will co-create a program that includes
- deep conversations
- workshops
- shared experiences.
We will focus on a slow, trust-based process that values care, relationships, and collaboration.
The group’s work will result in a practical tool to support art institutions in understanding and improving accessibility and inclusion – especially in contexts related to health and diverse abilities. The tool will offer insight into how human differences can enrich public cultural spaces.
This initiative aims to
- share new knowledge
- build lasting connections
- develop collaborative methods between institutions and communities
- raise awareness about accessibility challenges in public spaces.
We are launching the project now to support current movements for better representation and broader participation in culture.
Who can apply?
We welcome applications from young (under 40) artists and art workers who live with mental or physical disabilities.
You should be interested in shaping more inclusive practices within the cultural field.
